First grade has always been my passion! I love emergent readers and seeing their eyes light up when they learn something new or make a new connection.
I have a passion for creating resources for primary teachers to use in their classroom. My ultimate goal is to save teachers' time by providing rigorous, easy to use resources, that require little or no prep! I know how demanding teaching is and how important it is to prioritize our families and our personal well-being.
I have an amazing husband of 23 years who is also a teacher. This is his first-year teaching reading intervention after spending over two decades in second grade.
I have two great teenagers and a cute little beagle named Lucy. I enjoy reading- I love thrillers, historical fiction, and an occasional romcom! I spend many hours each week driving my daughter to practices and watching her play sports. I also enjoy volunteering in the children's ministry programming at my church.
